Via Partners brings together three established driving school groups under one holding company: the Kempische Rijscholen Group of the Anthonis family, active since 1968 under the Kempische Autorijschool and De Valk brands, as well as Otto (1969), currently under the operational management of Kim van Dun, and Fury (1989), led by Hans Van den Moortel. Together, they account for 23 locations and approximately 145 employees, concentrated in the Kempen region and the province of Antwerp, with operations extending into Flemish Brabant.
Joining forces for further growth
By bringing their activities together, the entrepreneurs aim not only to create scale, but above all to establish a stronger foundation for the next phase of growth. The focus is on optimising the combined activities, leveraging synergies and further developing B2B training programmes.
The group offers the full range of driving licence categories from A to G, for both private individuals and businesses. Fury also provides the mandatory periodic Code 95 training for professional drivers, while Kempische has developed Aktoo, its own accredited B2B training module.
Bringing different interests together in one structure
How do you bring together different shareholders, operational management and capital for further growth within a single future-oriented structure? For Via Partners, a Smart Deal provided the answer.
Hans Van den Moortel and Kim van Dun will take on the operational management of the group, supported by a network of investors. The Anthonis family is reinvesting and will remain involved as a sounding board. In this way, entrepreneurship, shareholding and capital are brought together around one shared ambition.
That is also what a Smart Deal is all about: rather than starting from a standard transaction, it starts with what the entrepreneurs and shareholders involved want to achieve. By aligning management, shareholding and capital, a structure can be created that provides room for both continuity and further growth. Existing shareholders can secure or reinvest their wealth, while management and new investors can participate in future value creation.
Via Partners puts this into practice. The combination brings together three established groups, clearly defines operational leadership and, at the same time, creates a broader foundation for achieving their shared growth ambitions.
“The name Via Partners is no coincidence,” says Hans Van den Moortel. “Via means road: the road to obtaining a driving licence, but also the road to the future. And ultimately, the road is quite literally our workplace.”
