Lambrecht Tyres from Sint-Niklaas has acquired the tyre centres, wholesale tyre business, and part of the real estate portfolio of Groep De Condé from Hasselt. This enables Groep De Condé to further focus on its European service operations under the EBTS brand.
With this transaction, Lambrecht expands its retail tyre network by 12 locations in Antwerp, the Kempen and Limburg regions. The activities of Limburgs Bandag Bedrijf, specialized in retreading and repairing tyres for trucks, buses, and earthmoving machinery, were also included in the deal.
According to Frank van Parijs, CEO of Groep De Condé, this is a logical transaction:
“There is clear pressure towards consolidation in the tyre market. By joining forces with a strong group like Lambrecht, the future of the tyre centres, wholesale operations, and their employees is secured.”
