In early 2018, Jimmy Maes together with some key employees and a group of 25 individual investors realized a Smart Deal around Maes Industries from Herentals. In mid-2018, Abati from Aartselaar was added to the group. Over the years, the company grew into a fixture on the HVAC market and today employs more than 70 people.
After 4 years, the strategic decision was made to join the group into a larger entity. This affiliation was found with Group Jansen from Zonhoven, which has been successfully active in the construction sector for years and is known for its own innovative products and services.
By acquiring Maes Industries and Abati, Group Jansen strengthens its position on the Belgian market and brings in a wealth of knowledge on HVAC techniques, in order to serve its customers even better in the future. Jimmy Maes continues to lead Maes Industries, while Jan Van Deynze remains at the helm of Abati. SDM-Valorum assisted the shareholders of Maes Industries and Abati in this acquisition.
