Founded in 2014, Bike Factory is a well-established full-service bike store with locations in Aarschot and Tienen. The company provides a full range of bicycles and related services, specializing in electric bikes, speedpedelecs, mountain bikes, gravel bikes and road bikes, among others.
“The foundation of Fietsfabriek is to convey the passion for bicycles to our clientele. We do this by one-on-one guidance in the search for the right bike according to user intentions, physique and personal preference. Only in this way will a customer experience satisfaction and we can build a long-term relationship with our customers,” said Tania Danckaerts of Fietsfabriek.
Wim Deroover and Tania Danckaerts transferred the shares of the company to Vélodome, a strategic player that recently made several acquisitions in greater Antwerp and the Waasland area. The parallel vision and shared passion for cycling provided a solid basis for this transaction.
Under the wings of this partnership, Wim Deroover and Tania Danckaerts wish to roll out a network of high-quality bicycle stores across Flanders. Both will remain active at Fietsfabriek and will eventually also play a role at group level.
SDM Corporate Finance Group has acted as advisor to Fietsfabriek on the transfer of the company.
